UExpress is an ad supported advice column website hosted by Andrews McMeel Universal. I worked on a team tasked with a ground up UI build to interface with a suite of microservices being developed in tandem.

This project gave me the opportunity to work with all aspects of Next.js and I could not have been happier with the development experience. I am excited about the future of Next, and I hope to continue working with it.

I worked with Knox Cabinetry to develop a custom CMS that could be easily updated with minimal technical support.

This site is built with WordPress, and leverages the Advanced Custom Fields plugin to provide easy to manage gallery content, served by a custom single-page theme built with React and Bootstrap.

I worked as the lead developer on a project to rebuild the Andrews McMeel Universal corporate website and find a creative solution to blend multiple corporate domains into a single site admin.

Our solution was a WordPress Multisite network that heavily utilizes the Advanced Custom Fields plugin for administering a custom component based theme.

Each site on the network has its own child theme that consumes different combinations of components from the parent theme via page templates. Its JavaScript and CSS dependencies are compiled from the parent theme with Webpack.

We also developed custom plugins to facilitate global navigation and to meet other global content sharing requirements.

I also worked as the lead developer to integrate the Andrews McMeel Publishing website with their corporate WordPress Multisite network.

We developed custom post types and taxonomies, as well as, a set of custom plugins that leverage the WordPress REST API to facilitate data sharing with multiple back-office applications.

Additionally, I worked as the lead developer to integrate the Andrews McMeel Universal intranet site with their corporate WordPress Multisite network.

We developed custom plugins to facilitate dynamic site features such as job listings, event calendars, and birthday calendars.
